Merry Christmas!

Our deepest human desire is to connect, it is not to get and acquire more stuff.

Perhaps the most profound and meaningful gift we can give this season is the gift of connection (or reconnection).

Even though it may be uncomfortable, why not reach out and connect to someone in your life who seems lonely and disconnected this holiday.

Cheers!

Unlocking the Key to Your Future

Cheers to unlocking the key to your future. From the TEDx stage all audience members were encouraged to write their personal goal for standing out and unlocking their future on a gold key.

Create your own ceremony! What if you and all of your team/family personally wrote in permanent marker; a big but doable goal on a gold key and displayed it publicly for everyone to support you.

We’re in!

How about you?

Cheers!

Designed by You for You!

Often, we are asked, “Is innovation possible in small firms and service firms? Can sole practitioners, like attorneys and consultants use the same innovation models many large multinational businesses use?”
YES!

Innovation is not just about creating cool, break through products. Processes, SOP’s, regulations, cost structures, service systems, consulting models, and legal practices, just to name a few, are all great targets for innovation. Innovation requires desire, collaboration, and multigenerational contributions. Watch this for a bit of inspiration.

What are you doing to inspire a movement? If you want to create a culture of innovation, contact Patti@freibergs.com to book an innovation event to inspire a movement in your world.

I go Strawless!

Disruptive innovation requires us to notice and see through the white noise in our lives. White noise is anything that has become permanent and pervasive. Sometimes white noise is harmless, but regardless white noise is worth noticing because when you look or listen more closely you discover an untapped opportunity.

Milo, an 11 year old environmentalist NOTICED that every time he ordered a drink at a restaurant it would “automatically” come with a straw. Milo hates this because he’s made an environmental commitment to “go strawless.”

In the U.S. we go through upwards of 500 million straws a day and sadly they end up in landfills (that’s enough to fill 46 thousand big yellow school buses everyday). Milo is inspiring a movement, he is traveling the world encouraging policy makers and restauranteurs to institute an “offer first policy,” where consumers are asked before straws are given. And whenever possible Milo challenges consumers to go straw free.

How’s that for disruptive service, environmental and policy innovation all in one?

Milo is raising money for his, “Let’s Create The Future Tour 2013” where he will speak in 8 cities in 5 different countries.
Even a $1.00 will help, to donate click here.

What, in your world, has become permanent and pervasive, is there anything that is now more harmful than it is valuable?
